Robert W. Dickens, of Trumansburg, passed away at the Elderwood Nursing Home in Waverly on Friday, February 29, 2008 at the age of 67. Born in Yonkers, NY on December 22, 1940, he was the son of the late Fred and Anna (Lorer) Dickens. 

Robert had been employed as a truck driver for Super Foods of Orlando, FL before retirement and was a US Army veteran.  He enjoyed working on cars in his free time, and had a long-term love affair with his Mach 1 Mustang.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother Richard Dickens.   He is survived by one brother Ronnie Dickens of Florida; one aunt, Connie McHugh of Albany; two nieces and two nephews, Richard L. Dickens of Ovid, NY, Nancy Steinaway of Trumansburg, NY; David Dickens and Stephanie Dickens both of Albany, NY; as well as several great-nieces and one great-nephew.
