Edith Marie Brown Parker, age 82, of 9 Salo Drive, Trumansburg, passed away on January 14, 2009 in her home in the heart of her adoring family.
Edith was born in New York, NY on December 31, 1926, the daughter of the late Sophia Marie and Edwin Stanton Brown. She is also predeceased by her loving husband Donald, and her first daughter Edith Marie.
Edith’s whole life was devoted to her faith and her family. She is survived by her nine children, Elizabeth (Alan) Miller, Rhoda (David) Welch, Ruth Hill, Donnie Parker, Donald (Cheryl) Parker, Jr., David Parker, Veronica (Stephen) Parker Zielinski, Emily (René Carver) Parker, and Evangeline (Joseph) Tomanelli; 23 grandchildren, Sarah (Chip) Champion, Ethan (Lisa) Miller, Joshua (Rami Woods) Millspaugh, Jason Millspaugh, Jesse (Cheyenne) Cute, Michael (Jodi) Tunison, Matthew Tunison, Jennifer Tunison, Elwin Parker-Morris, Elijah Parker, Jared Triggs, Anthony Parker,
Chelsea Parker, Benjamin (Bree Hayward) Parker, Daniel Parker, Miranda Parker, Jonathan Parker, Grace Parker Zielinski, Luke Parker Zielinski, Jacob Parker Carver, Hannah Parker Carver, Nicholas Tomanelli, and Daniel Tomanelli; 11 great-grandchildren, Rachael (Avraham) Boruchowitz, Leah Champion, Grace Miller, Eliah Miller, Liam Millspaugh, Megan Cute, Cameron Tunison, Connor Tunison, Cora Tunison, Jesse Torres, and Abbey Torres; one sister, Rhoda (Keith) Bower; two in-laws, William Parker and Lois (Peter) Ditmars; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Church of The Epiphany, 11 Elm Street, Trumansburg. The Rev. Gurdon Brewster will officiate.
