Virginia W. Freeman Virginia W. Freeman of 258 DuBois Rd, passed away at home on Thursday morning, October 28, 2010 at the age of 65.

 Born on April 16, 1945 in Bath, New York, Ginny was the daughter of John and Marguerite (Scudder) Wilson.


For over 40 years Ginny developed friendships through her position at Cornell. She retired as the registrar for the Industrial & Labor  Relations School in July 2009. Ginny loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed working outside in her yard and in her flower gardens. Ginny took great pleasure in her long time involvement ushering Cornell Hockey, helping with other Cornell Athletic events and sharing with the Cornell community.  Her love of the water was shared with her family and friends through the GF Charters family business aboard the "Hot Pursuit II".

Ginny was preceded in death by her father John J. Wilson, and her husband of 38 years, Gust L. Freeman, Jr.   She is survived by her mother, Marguerite Wilson of Risingville, NY; her son, Gust L. Freeman III and his wife Yvonne of Whitney Point; her daughter, Petrina M. Freeman of Ithaca; her two brothers, Arden Wilson of Lawrenceville, PA and David Wilson of Risingville, NY; two grandchildren, Collin and Gavin and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Martha Grant of Ithaca, NY.

The family will be present to receive friends from 3-5 pm on Saturday, November 6th at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St, Trumansburg.
