Lynne E. TaylorLynne E. Taylor, of 1488 Trumansburg Road, Ithaca passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the age of 67.


Lynne was born on April 21, 1943 in Binghamton to the late Lyman and Mildred (Dean) Taylor. She worked as a teacher in various subjects and grades at the Trumansburg Elementary and Middle Schools.


Lynne was a worldwide traveler. She had visited all 50 States and has been to several different countries on cruises. She had planned a trip with several of her traveling companions to Hawaii this September. Lynne loved taking pictures and was an avid collector of all types of angel statues. She loved animals and leaves behind her special canine companion, Bandit.


Lynne is survived by two daughters, DeEtte (William) Drake of Candor and Rebecca (Steve) Tostanoski; four grandchildren, Michael, Taylor, Steven, and Elizabeth; a brother, Byron Taylor; a niece and nephew, Jodi and Christopher; and two aunts, Elinor Williams and Dorothy Galbreath.


The family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street Trumansburg. A  Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 25 at the funeral home with Fr. John Tokaz, OFM Cap officiating.
