Glenn Alfred Breed of 5207 Williammee Road, Trumansburg, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the age of 77.

Glenn was born in Ithaca on May 21, 1936 a son of the late Clark and Mildred (Mahoney) Breed. In 1954, Glenn joined the United States Navy and then transferred to the United States Army where he served until he was honorably discharged in 1967. Glenn worked various places over the years but was best known for his work as a dynamite blaster.

Glenn enjoyed spending time outdoors and looked forward to deer hunting season every fall.

Glenn is survived by two sons, Gary (Deb) Breed of Freeville and Randy (Teresa) Breed of Trumansburg; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; fiancÚ Bess Simmons of Waterburg; sister, Naomi Dent of Vero Beach, FL; niece, Nancy Austen of Tully; and several great nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Glenn’s wishes, services will be private.
