Gerald C. Morley of Alpine passed away at Seneca View Nursing Facility on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the age of 90.

Gerald was born on October 6, 1927 in Mecklenburg a son of the late Lawrence and Thelma (Wood) Morley. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Gerald worked as a plumber and pipefitter for 50 years through the Plumber’s Union Local 1267 in Ithaca. He enjoyed woodworking and is best known for his variegated wood cutting boards.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly Morley; three children, Lawrence (Kim) Morley, Lorraine Morley, and Gerald (Carrie) Morley Jr.; two grandchildren, Christopher and Lawrence Morley Jr.; one great granddaughter, Zoe Morley; two cousins, Pam Coyle and Stephanie Bentley; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by two cousins, Alan and Kevin Cramer.

The family will be present to receive friends from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. Burial will be private for family.
