Robert H. Holley was a lifelong resident of Enfield, passed on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the age of 86.
Bob was born in Enfield on March 31, 1937, he was the youngest of 10 children to Howard and Minnie (Whitaker) Holley. For the majority of his life Bob owned and operated Holley’s Excavating. Bob (Papa) was a big influence in showing and teaching neighbor kids as well as his own kids and grandchildren his trade of running machinery and other life experiences. Many of which have gone on to have excellent work ethics and businesses of their own, he was very proud of each and everyone of them all. He enjoyed deer hunting with his son and grandsons and going to races on the spur of the moment in the camper. He loved watching NASCAR but never attended one. He also enjoyed going to family gatherings, reunions and especially having 4th of July parties, which the highlight was always the fireworks.
Bob is survived by his spouse, Linda Wyllie of 40+ years; children Matthew (Christa) Wyllie, Kimberly (Marvin) Riggs, Kelly (Charles) Sinclair, Robert “Scott” (Jamie) Holley; and 14 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.
