A. Robinson, Teresa

Born in Ithaca on September 1, 1953, Teresa was the daughter of the late Leon L. Woodring and Anne J. Woodring of Trumansburg.

Following graduation from the Trumansburg High School in 1971, Teresa accepted a position with Lama Insurance. Over the years she was also employed by NCR, The Statler Hotel, Genex and for 10 years, the NYS Holstein Assn. Currently Teresa was employed in various projects with the Enfield Community Council, Beverly J. Martin Elementary School and the Viking Sewing Center, which is located in the JoAnn Fabric Store in Ithaca.

Teresa had a gift for sewing and created many treasures that will help carry on her legacy of love forever. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, bowling, and collecting butterflies. Like her beloved butterflies, Teresa was a ray of sunshine in the lives of those she touched. But when life got tough for people around her, she was a rock of support and nurture. No matter what the circumstances or setting, Teresa's exuberance and joy for life were a blessing to all.

In addition to her mother, Anne J. Woodring of Trumansburg, Teresa is survived by her devoted husband, Jimmy F. Robinson of Ithaca; six children, Clint Manheim of Ovid, Jennifer Manheim of Newfield, Heather Robinson (David) Snyder of Trumansburg, Amy Robinson of Newfield, James Robinson of Ithaca and Kathryn Robinson of McLean; six grandchildren, Kortney, Destiney, Ashley, Vanessa, Breanna and Madison; two brothers, Michael Woodring of Trumansburg and Douglas (Elizabeth) Woodring of Mecklenburg; two sisters, Patti Jo (Martin) Picinich of Temecula, CA and Rebecca (Bob, Jr.) Abadie of Kettering, OH; several nieces and nephews and her mother-in-law, Marguerite Jones of Newark Valley.

The family will be present to receive their friends at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg on Friday, February 6, 2004 from 7-9 pm.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 4443 East Seneca Road, Trumansburg on Saturday at 10:00 am with the Rev. Pete Hood officiating.
