Alice Cidney (Beardsley) Hendrix

Alice Cidney Beardsley Hendrix of Trumansburg passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the age of 93.

Born on January 19, 1930 in Ithaca, Alice was a daughter of the late Harold and Josephine (Simmons) Beardsley. On October 2, 1948, she married Gerald Hendrix and they shared 58 years of married life together.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcy Hendrix; son Brooks (Michele) Hendrix; brother, Glenn (Jennifer) Beardsley; six granddaughters; three grandsons; seven great granddaughters; five great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald on September 17, 2006; daughter Teryl Wemette on May 7, 2017; sisters, Helen Wilkins, Dorothea Sowards, Marie Pardon, Beverly Hastings, and Georgia Chesley; brothers, Harold Beardsley Jr. and Earl Beardsley; great granddaughter, Lily May Boyhan; beloved daughter in law, Vicki Steve Hendrix; and best friend, Jayne Thompson.

The family will be present to receive friends from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg.
