Alice W. Laue of Enfield passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the age of 85.
Alice was born in Montour Falls on July 21, 1933, a daughter of the late Henry and Pauline (Glauer) Welch. She worked as a teacher’s aide and secretary at the Enfield Elementary School for many years. Following retirement from the school, Alice became the Enfield Town Clerk for a number of years. She extended her love of children beyond her job and her own family and loved all her kids in the Enfield community.
Alice is survived by five sons, Gary (Lisa), Paul (Shelley), Mark, Eric, and Neil Laue; four grandchildren, Joseph Laue, Julie (Kristofer) Winsjansen, Paul R. Laue, and Christopher Laue; great grandson, Liam Winsjansen; brother, David Welch; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Laue in 1994; a brother, Kenneth Welch; and a sister, Edith Traver.
The family will be present to receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00am on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be private for family.
