Alice L. Ward

Alice L. Ward of 4085 Waterburg Rd., Trumansburg passed away at home on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the age of 82.

Born in Ithaca on May 24, 1930, Alice was the daughter of Alfred and Ruth (Howell) Ward. She was a lifelong resident of the area and worked at Cornell University for many years. Alice could often be found knitting or crocheting and delighted in giving her creations as gifts.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by siblings, Ethel Ward, Elma Rice, Laura Cramner, and Carl and John Ward. She is survived by a sister, Freda Martin of Owego and several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg. Services will begin at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 26th, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. John Kotun officiating. Prayers of Committal will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Interlaken.
