Allen G. Andrew

Allen Giles Andrew, of 62 E. Main St., Trumansburg, passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at the age of 67.

Born in Rochester, New York on November 24, 1942, Allen was the son of Harold and Cleda Newell Andrew. Allen was a lifelong resident of Trumansburg where he graduated from Trumansburg High School in 1961. He later went on to own and operate Al's Small Equipment Repair for many years. One of Allen's greatest pleasures was time spent with his grandchildren. He relaxed by doing crossword puzzles, joined by his family cat who followed him everywhere. Allen loved all animals, and especially enjoyed feeding his pet finches.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by a sister Bonnie Bottorff, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Andrew and Guy and Edna Newell. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Kozak Andrew; three sons Scott (Melanie) of Trumansburg, David (Michele) and Michael (Cee Cee) both of Solvay; six grandchildren Lexi, Mary Elizabeth, Zach, Ryan, Stephanie and Caleb; one sister Nancy (Jeff) Briggs of Walkertown, NC; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled and announced in the Spring of 2010.
