Allen Grant Wilson

Allen G. Wilson of Brooktondale passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the age of 86.

Allen was born on December 30, 1936 in Brooktondale, NY to the late Fred and Margaret (nee VanDemark) Wilson. Allen enjoyed many years working at Morse Chain in Ithaca and in his free time did small engine repair at home and for Agway. A servant to his community, he could be found as a flagger for the Brooktondale Fire Department, a poll inspector for Elections in Tompkins County and after retirement a crossing guard. He enjoyed singing in the quartet at Brooktondale Baptist Church and taking his late sister Janie out and about. He spent many weekends away with cousins on traveling trips from Ohio to Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts, and the Adirondacks.

Allen is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Wilson, and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Wilson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. A burial will immediately follow at Brookton Cemetery in Brooktondale.
