Anita M. McFall lifelong resident of Trumansburg passed away at Beechtree Care Center on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the age of 83.

Anita was born in Ithaca on May 25, 1930 a daughter of the late Howard and Marjorie (Slaught) Smith. She enjoyed spending time outside tending to her flower gardens, growing strawberries, and watching for hummingbirds. Anita spent summers boating on Cayuga Lake with friends and family and spending winters in Bokeelia, Florida with her husband, Walt. She worked countless hours on a variety of knitting and embroidery projects, sharing the finished products with family and friends.

Anita devoted her life to her family. Her generous and loving spirit will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Anita is survived by her husband, Walter McFall; three sons, Gary (Cheryl), Mark (Linda), and Robin (Teri) McFall; one daughter, Susan (Richard) Wyckoff; a brother, Roger Smith; a sister in law, Barbara Smith Redman; eight grandchildren, Todd (Kimberly) and Craig (Pam) Wyckoff, Bryan (Julie) McFall, Brandy (Charles) Paulich, Chad McFall, Sara (John) McFall Petrilla, Kyle (Angie) and Katie McFall; and eleven great grandchildren, Courtney and Cassie Wyckoff, Matthew, Nicolas, and Laura Wyckoff, Benjamin McFall, Hailey McFall, Autumn and Grace McFall Petrilla, Ivy McFall, and Bryce Zdyb. In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Smith; and sister, Edith Crumb.

The family will be present to receive friends from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. Funeral Services will immediately follow at Noon, at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in Grove Cemetery.
