Anne N. Kasonic of Ovid passed away at home on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the age of 81.
Anne was born in Elmira on December 31, 1935, a daughter of the late Alan and Glendora (Arnold) Norton. She attended Elmira College earning both her Bachelors and Masters degrees, graduating with honors. Anne taught kindergarten in Watkins Glen for 15 years before working at Kasonic Builders. An avid collector, Anne filled her home with collections of stamps, Indian artifacts, antique banks, and various other collections.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Cinnamon for her care and compassion given to Anne over the past several months.
Anne is survived by her husband of 37 years, Barry Kasonic; three children, Therese Radtke, Douglas (Judy) Peters, and Scott (Susan) Peters; two step children, Brian Kasonic and Laurie (Kevin) Dunlop; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a brother, Bruce (Susan) Norton.
In keeping with Anne’s wishes services will be private for family.
