Anthony Michael Daghita of Trumansburg passed away at Cayuga Medical Center surrounded by family on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the age of 36.
Anthony was born in Ithaca on August 19, 1986, a son to Melanie Miller Daghita and Michael Daghita. When Anthony had a love of something, he gave his whole heart to it. He had numerous fishing poles and lots of tackle and facilitated his love of wrestling by collecting many wrestling belts. This time of year was his favorite, affectionately being referred to as “Mr. Christmas” by several family members.
Anthony is survived by his mother, Melanie Daghita; father Michael (Klena) Daghita; siblings, Jennifer Daghita and Albert Joseph (Brittany) Daghita; maternal grandmother, Rena White; paternal grandmother, Beverly (Donald Taylor) Daghita; nieces and nephews, Tommy “Cloe” Mitchell, Jhonen Daghita, and Zakai and Leeana Daghita; extended family and close friends, Frank (Deborah) Lupo, John Lupo, Frank (Stephanie) Lupo Jr., Brenda, Joni and Big Joe Payne, Dougie Lupo, Phil Dewey, and Briana Specchio; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Miller; and maternal grandfather Albert “Corky” Daghita.
The family will be present to receive friends from 10:00am to Noon on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Agape Bible Church, 264 Applegate Road South, Ithaca. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at noon, at the church.
