Augusta M. Devoss

Augusta M. DeVoss, of 8088 Route 89, Interlaken, passed away on March 20, 2007, at the age of 79.

Born on September 2, 1927, in Interlaken, Augusta was a daughter of the late Pietro and Mary (Fadalti) Arcangeli.

She was retired from Willard State Hospital after 36 years of service. Augusta was a member of the Ovid VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. She was also an avid bingo player.

In addition to her parents, Augusta was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Don McArdle; her second husband, Gordon DeVoss; two brothers, Joe and Angelo Arcangeli; and a sister, Anne Murray.

Surviving Augusta are three sons, Ronald, John and Thomas McArdle all of Interlaken; three step-sons, Gary and Guy DeVoss of CA, and Glenn DeVoss of FL. She is also survived by a brother, John (Lura) Arcangeli of Enfield, and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Augusta's wishes, no public services are scheduled. Burial, delayed until spring, will be in St. James Cemetery, Trumansburg.
