Barbara Jean Weber

Barbara Jean Weber, age 75, longtime resident of Bassette Road, passed away at her home on Saturday, December 15, 2018.

Barbara was born in Providence, RI on July 24, 1943, a daughter of the late Wilfred J. and Ernestine (Rhodes) Raymond Sr. She had lived in the Ithaca and Spencer areas while working as a secretary for the Franziska Racker Center. She and her husband John, had lived in Interlaken for nearly 15 years. Barbara was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints, Trumansburg. She was an avid crafter and collector, while her home was the center of family activities and events.

She is survived by her children; Laura Droleski of Lake City, FL, Jeanette Westerlin of Anchorage, AK, Christine Haggerty of Ovid, James Tavares Jr. of Lake Pleasant, NY, David Chilson Jr. of Elmira, NY, Amy Noble of Ithaca, NY and Lisa Snyder of VanEtten, NY, her step sons; David Weber of Auburn, NY and Steven Weber of Ovid, NY, 15 grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, and a great great grandchild; her brother; Walter Raymond of Endicott, NY and a sister, Sally Spencer of Newark Valley, NY. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Weber in 2015 and by a brother, Wilfred J.″Sonny″ Raymond Jr.
