Betty E. Miller a resident of Titus Towers in Ithaca, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at the age of 87.

Born in Addison, New York on March 24, 1922, Betty was the daughter of Guy and Esther Young Hamilton. She enjoyed sewing for family and friends and crocheted many keepsakes that will be forever treasured. Betty will be remembered for the beautiful poetry that she wrote, her love of music, Scrabble, crossword puzzles, bird watching and chocolate.

Betty was a long-time resident of Titus Towers, and was involved in the tenant council and in scheduling local pastors to lead weekly chapel services for residents.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 1998; two daughters Betty Lou Miller and Judith Pendergast; two sisters Eleanor McLaughlin and Isabel Clark and one brother Guy Hamilton, Jr.

She is survived by three sons Richard (Dottie) of Newfield, Gary (Linda) of Ithaca and Donald (Anita) of Trumansburg; three daughters Cathy (Dick) Mooney of Etna, Connie (Pete) Pendergast of Sempronious and Cynthia (Keith) Tilley of Albuquerque, NM; one brother Jack Hamilton of California; two sisters Blanche Hamilton of Florida and Barbara Cook of Auburn; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Betty's wishes, a private memorial service will be held.
