Beverly J. Knapp

Beverly J. Knapp of Trumansburg passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the age of 72.

Beverly was born in Seneca Falls on August 8, 1946, a daughter of the late August and Gertrude (Cooper) Steinruck. She worked for many years as a cook at the Tompkins County Jail and Cayuga Medical Center. Beverly will fondly be remembered as a kind, loving, and caring woman who had a deep love for her children, grandchildren, and animals, especially horses.

Beverly is survived by three daughters, Denise (Ann Walton) Knapp, Rebecca Knapp, and Sara (Matt Moore) Knapp; four grandchildren, Wyatt and Waylon Knapp Moore, Annaleigh Knapp, and Jon (Ashley) Knapp Marsh; four step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth (Betty Ann) Steinruck, William (Maryann) Steinruck, and Phillip (Theresa) Steinruck and a large extended family. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Knapp in 2016; and two brothers, Roy and David Steinruck.

A Graveside Service for both Beverly and Lyle will be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in Hector Union Cemetery in Burdett.
