Brad G. Lapoint

Brad G. LaPoint, of Trumansburg, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 13, 2020.

Brad was born in Ithaca on March 14, 1959, a son of Ken Reeves and Neva Mattocks. Raised in San Antonio, Texas, Brad moved to the area before his senior year and graduated from Ithaca High school. Brad had been a truck driver his whole life, traveling throughout most of the United States. Most recently he had been working close to home and spent his time loving his wife and many grandchildren. Brad was a motorcycle enthusiast who showed his passion and hard work at his company, Midstate Trikes, converting motorcycles into trikes. A long standing attendee of Calvary Baptist Church in Trumansburg, he will be greatly missed.

Brad is survived by his wife of 31 years, Diann LaPoint; his children, Kellie LaPoint-Flood and Timothy (Cortney) Bailey; his father, Ken (Carol) Reeves; his grandchildren, Jordan, Paige, Elijah, Faith, Ruthie, Austin and Jasmine; and his siblings, Craig (Jan) LaPoint, Londy (Ed) Powers, Jeffrey (Cynthia) LaPoint and Amy (Ron) Hurd. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Neva and Arthur LaPoint.

The family will be present to receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Thursday, January 16th, 2020 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 17th, at 11:00am, at Calvary Baptist Church, 5 Bradley St, Trumansburg, NY 14886.
