Bruce R. Fellows, age 68, of Trumansburg, passed away on September 29, 2017 after a short illness with cancer.

Bruce was born in Ithaca on April 20, 1949 a son of the late Rodmann and Barbara Fellows. He held various mechanical and maintenance related positions through his working years, ultimately retiring in 2013 from Cargill Salt in Lansing after 28 years. Since his retirement, Bruce held the position of Superintendent of Grove Cemetery and also could be found working on projects at home in his garage. He loved hunting, car racing, drag racing, and hanging out with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Bruce is survived by the love of his life, Cora; two sons, Matthew and Kevin (Kim), both of Trumansburg; two daughters, Dawn (Gary) Schmidt of Rome and Lisa (Bill) Simpson of Athens, GA; seven grandchildren, Johnathan (Holly) Duddleston or Rome, Kyle and Colin Fellows of Trumansburg, Amelia (Sam) Cox of Memphis, TN, Captain Milton Simpson of Athens, GA, Eric Simpson of Los Angeles, CA, and Grant Simpson of Athens; three great granddaughters; brother, Arthur (Norma) Fellows of Culpepper, VA; sister, Hope Johnson of Palm Bay, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 4:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the family’s convenience in Grove Cemetery.
