Grover C. "Tot" Morehouse, age 75, of 4580 Rabbit Run Road, Trumansburg made a quiet journey to join his predeceased family and loved ones: his parents Jeanette and Grover; his daughter, Frances; four brothers and several loved and cherished friends on November 8th, 2003.

Born on June 23, 1928 Grover established himself and wife, Julia in the village of Trumansburg where they have lived for 53 years and have raised their six children: Theresa Morehouse of Trumansburg, NY, Christina Frazier of Drayden, MD, Mary Dikes of Snowflake, AZ, Frances Stone who passed away on January 16, 2002, formerly of Bradenton, FL, Julia Ferris of Newfield, NY, and Thomas Morehouse of Cedarville, NY. He was blessed with ten grandchildren: Stephen and Jennifer Moracco, Shea and Bryce Frazier, Dennis, Nathaniel and Shona Dikes; Kimberly and Amber Ferris, and Amber Morehouse; four great-grandchildren: Zachary and Nicholas Guidi and Jewel and Skye Dikes. He also shared the wealth of his life with his seven surviving siblings: Ruby, Ruth, June, Marie, Sarah, James and Robert.

Grover was known for his warm smile, fishing when it was below zero, love of his vegetable garden and lawn, reading every novel in the library starting at "A" and working toward "Z", sharing coffee and town news with his cherished friends of the Spit & Whittle Club at 9:00 o'clock every morning, and his kindness toward and caring for others regardless of circumstances.

The family will be present to receive their friends at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg on Tuesday, November 11th from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. James the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10:00 am with the Rev. Eugene O'Hara, OFM Cap. as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Grover's memory be made to the Trumansburg Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 418, Trumansburg, NY 14886, ATTN: Norm Hummel or the Ulysses Philomathic Library, P.O. Box 705, Trumansburg, NY 14886.
