C. Roykouff, Yvonne

Yvonne C. Roykouff of 21 Pease St, Trumansburg passed away at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA on Sunday, July 7, 2002 at the age of 65.

Born on November 26, 1936 in Ithaca, Yvonne was the daughter of Myron Arthur Cronk, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Terrell Cronk.

Yvonne attended the Trumansburg grade school and graduated from the Ithaca High School in 1954. Yvonne was a life-long learner who continually renewed her mind by reading and taking courses such as photography and local history. She was proud to receive her business degree from TC3 in May of 1998.

In early years, Yvonne was employed by Cornell University and the Law Office of Murray Lewis in Ithaca. For the past 25 years Yvonne worked at the Trumansburg Central Schools including her most recent position as Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools.

Yvonne also enjoyed assisting her sister Jeanne and her mother Mary in the operation of "Mary's Holiday House" in Trumansburg. The specialty shop offered hand-made crafts with Yvonne contributing many beautiful and intricate stained-glass pieces.

Yvonne's best friend throughout life was her devoted husband Warren. Just one example of their "team-work" was Warren's gardening abilities coupled with Yvonne's canning expertise. Their family enjoyed fresh vegetables throughout the year. Her positive attitude and determined spirit were an inspiration to her children and the many friends who knew and loved Yvonne. Her memory will live in their hearts forever.

She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ulysses and was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Ithaca.

In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her sister Jeanne Moracco on November 7, 2000. She is survived by her husband, of 43 years, Warren of Trumansburg; one daughter, Terrell Roykouff of Garland, TX; two sons, Tim of Upper Darby, PA and Tom of Trumansburg; one brother, Myron A. Cronk, Jr. (Laurie) of Trumansburg and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St, Trumansburg on Friday, July 12, 2002 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Jeffrey S. Kellam officiating. Prayers of Committal will follow at Grove Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive their friends, at the funeral home, on Thursday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
