Carl L. Mann Jr.

Carl L.”Butch” Mann Jr., age 81, of Trumansburg, NY passed away at home on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Carl was born on August 6, 1941 in Berkshire, NY the son of the late Carl L. Sr. and Lillian (nee Eggleston) Mann.

Carl worked for BorgWarner for many years and retired as an Industrial Engineer in 2003.  He served the Village of Trumansburg as a Trustee and later as Mayor, and served on the Zoning Board of Appeals for many years.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends in the Adirondacks, as well as buying and selling antiques, cars and boats.   He also had many treasured pets over the years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Carol Mann; children, Greg (Renee) Mann and Kelly (Mark) Weissenburg; grandchildren, Alex and Sydney Mann, Nicholas Weissenburg, Alicia (Garrett)  Mistretta, and Brian Weissenburg; sister, Nancy (Jack) Gould; brother-in-law, Tom (Nancy) Gill; sister-in-law, Kathy (Denny) Kalota, nieces and nephews. Carl is preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Carl’s Life will be announced by the family at a later date.
