Carol A. Kastenhuber

Carol A. Kastenhuber of Interlaken passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the age of 75.

Carol was born in Trumansburg on January 8, 1941, a daughter of the late John and Ruth (Perry) Weeks. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Lakeside Nursing Home. Carol was very crafty, making a variety of items including afghans, dolls, blankets, and teddy bears. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Carol is survived by four children, William (Rebecca) Jr. and Brian Kastenhuber, Deborah (James) Wage, and Leslie (Dean) Hendrix; six grandchildren, Jason, Jerry, Amie (Jamie), Randi (Micah), Jimmy, and Brent; five great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Caleb, Gavin, Brantley, and Rayce; a sister, Rita (Bob) Brown; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, William Kastenhuber Sr. in 2012; a brother, George Weeks; and two sisters, Cecile Bonsall and Betty Taylor.

A Graveside Service will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at West Lodi Cemetery. A reception will immediately follow at the Lodi Fire Department on Route 414.
