Charles W. Guyett

Charles W. Guyett of 5330 State Rt. 228, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at the age of 74.

Born in Chelsea, Vermont on June 23, 1934, Charles was the son of the late Harold and Hazel (Jackson) Guyett. He served in the United States Army and retired from Cornell with fifty years of service as a life safety officer. Charles was a lifelong member of the Mecklenburg Fire Department. He enjoyed camping, reading books about history, and traveling to car shows to see all the antique cars.

Charles is survived by his second wife, Carol Guyett and her two sons. He is also survived by four sons, Charles, Gene, Chris, and Marty; one brother, Stanley; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold.

In keeping with Charles' wishes, there will be no services.
