Charles R. Curtis

d. March 31, 2017

Charles R. “Chuck” Curtis of Ithaca passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the age of 65.

Chuck was born in Johnson City on August 25, 1951, the son of the late Edna and Donald Curtis. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Always having a strong work ethic, Chuck was employed as a construction worker at various companies for many years. Friends and family fondly called him “Chuck” and Mr. B., and while he was a man a few words, everyone listened when he spoke. He was a great and loving father and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and tubing at the lake, and shooting.

Chuck is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Brian) Gunning; and three grandchildren, Mackenzi, Gabriel, and Addison. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Judy.

The family will be present to receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00pm on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12:00pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Sampson Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.

The family asks those that would like to make a contribution in Chuck’s memory to kindly consider donating to a Veteran’s Hospital.
