Constantin P. Fadalti

d. October 15, 2012

Constantin Pierre “Connie” Fadalti, of Jacksonville, passed away at Hospicare surrounded by his family on Monday, October 15, 2012 at the age of 81.

Born in Belgium on July 28, 1931, Connie was the son of the late Ceasar and Maria (Campo Dall Orto) Fadalti. Following graduation from high school, Connie went to technical school for engineering before serving in the Belgium Navy. In 1959, Connie, his wife France (while expecting daughter Joelle) and first daughter Nancy, immigrated to the United States, moving in with relatives in Interlaken. Not knowing how to speak the English language he taught himself without attending any school, from there he was able to pursue his profession in machine work. He made a 21 year career as a Model Maker at NCR before opening his business: The Jacksonville Machine Shop. Connie had an eye for precision machine work and continued operating his business until he was 71.

After retirement, Connie and France spent most of the year in Fort Pierce, Florida. He carried his love of fishing from the lakes of New York to the ocean in Florida. Throughout his life, Connie enjoyed camping with his family. Most of all, Connie’s most cherished memories were those made with his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Connie is survived by his wife of 57 years, France Fadalti; daughters, Nancy (Keith) Stillions of Atlanta, GA and Joelle (Neal) Stillions of Ovid; four grandchildren, Hilery (Patrick) Wilson of Atlanta, GA, Devon (Audra) Stillions of Spokane, WA, Tera (Matthew) Stagg of Interlaken, and Amber Stillions of Ovid; and five great grandchildren, Adrien and Charlee Wilson, Toby Stillions, and Taylor and Trent Stagg.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Corriero officiating. A gathering and reception will immediately follow at Joelle and Neal Stillions residence.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks those who wish to make a contribution in Connie’s memory to kindly consider Hospicare of Tompkins County, 172 E. King Road, Ithaca, NY 14850.
