Cynthia Diamond-Carey, age 69, of 7449 County Road 153, Ovid, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born on September 4, 1935 in West Englewood, NJ, Cindy was the daughter of Albert E. Clarihew, DDS and Emma Mueller Clarihew. She graduated from Teaneck High School in Teaneck, NJ, and received a BA in Fine Arts from Carnegie Technology College in Pittsburgh, PA.
She was a talented artist and homemaker who raised a family while supporting the family farm, Glenwood Farms, for many years in Sheldrake. Cindy was an avid gardener, lover of flowers and devoted grandmother.
Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Lawrence Carey of Ovid; one son, Scott Diamond (Lynda Close Diamond) of Interlaken; two daughters, Rachel Diamond-Frey of Lodi and Elise Diamond of Carrboro, NC; one step-daughter, Nicole Carey (David Gardner) of Washington, DC; four grandchildren, Benjamin and Matthew Frey, Emily and Julia Diamond; one sister, Beryl Beltramini (Warren) of Lincoln, NH and three nieces and one nephew.
The family will be present to receive their friends at the Sheldrake Point Vineyard & Café, 7448 County Road 153 in Sheldrake on Sunday, November 21, 2004 from 2-5 pm.
