David E. Kauppinen

David E. Kauppinen, age 68, of Colegrove Road, passed away on December 29, 2017.

Born January 31, 1949 in Ithaca, the son of Charles and Pat Kauppinen. He was a 1967 graduate of Trumansburg High School, and had worked at Newport Chevrolet as a mechanic, and in maintenance at Lakeside Nursing Home, Franziska Racker Center and most recently at Juniper Manor in Trumansburg.

He is survived by his wife, Susan McConnell; his step son, Michael “Henry” James, and a son, David Kauppinen; a grand daughter, Demi, his friends and neighbors, Dick and Char Waite, and by his cousins, Roger, Karen, Judy and Brenda Koskinen.

In honor of Dave’s request, there will be no services.
