Deborah S. Taves

Deborah Taves, age 57, passed away on November 21 after a brief illness at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.

Born on July 7, 1962, in Oklahoma City, Debbie was the daughter of Edward and Alma Taves, who predeceased her. She is survived by her brother Michael (Kathy), nephew Matthew (Jessica) and niece Kerén, and five great nieces and nephews, along with many cousins and aunts and uncles. She was greatly loved and cherished by her family and loved greatly in return.

Having been born with significant developmental disabilities, Debbie had only a very limited education and no occupation. Her parents cared for her for almost her entire adult life and when they could no longer manage, her care was taken over by her older brother Michael of Trumansburg, NY, and for the past several years has lived in an assisted living home in Trumansburg managed by Franziska Racker Centers.
