Doris R. Marion, age 93, of Trumansburg passed away at home on November 1, 2021.
She was born in Searsburg on January 25, 1928 a daughter of the late Jay and Alice (Cronk) Cook. Doris worked at Willard Psychiatric Center before opening her home to care for developmentally disabled girls. She had a lifelong love of antiquing and found great joy in scouring thrift shops for vintage designer clothing, a task at which she succeeded in on almost every trip.
Doris is survived by her three children, Constance (Harry) Washut, Randall (Debbie) Marion, and Richard (Karyn) Marion; six grandchildren; Scott (Stacy) Holden, Kathrine Gilligan, Gregory Marion, Samantha Marion, Virginia Marion, and Allison Marion; three great grandchildren; Madison, William, and Tyler Holden and much loved step-grandchildren and their families. Her brother, Richard Cook; sister in law, Betty Cook; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Marion; two brothers, Donald and Gordon Cook; and a sister, Alberta Schultz.
A Memorial Gathering will be announced at a later date.
