Frances E. Schmidt, formerly of Rochester and Clifton Springs, NY went home to be with the Lord at the age of 93 on March 3, 2006, at the Seneca Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center while surrounded by her family.
A memorial service will be scheduled and announced in the spring of 2006.

Frances was born June 10, 1912 in Covert, NY, the daughter of Morris and Ella Knapp Medlock. Upon graduating from Interlaken High School she attended Rochester School of Commerce. She worked as Secretary to Curry Weatherby for American Agriculturist in Ithaca for many years and then was transferred to his Poughkeepsie office. After returning to the Interlaken area she worked for Owen Carman at the Trumansburg Free Press. Later she started her own business in direct sales; first with Faemade, then Dutchmaid wearing apparel and later with Shaklee. For the past several years she has been a Sales Manager with Nature's Sunshine, an Herb and Health Food Company. Frances loved to travel and talk about the many trips and awards she earned through her sales. In recent years she has spent much of her summers at Odosagih Bible Conference Camp on Lime Lake at Machias, NY. She was a member of the Walker Bible Baptist Church in Walker, NY.
She is survived by her daughter, Aneta Glover of Interlaken, NY; a first cousin, Fred (Velma) Swick of Ovid, NY; two step daughters, Eileen Glover Peters of Holland, Ohio and Evalda Schmidt (Don) Kern of Rochester, NY; nephews and nieces, Ford (Anna) Preston, Marie ("Brick") Odell, Merle (June) Preston and Hazel Barrett of Lawrenceville, Pa, Alice (Dave) Parsons of Fairport, NY and Paul Sturdevant of Penn Yan, NY and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many dear friends throughout the area and around the country. She was predeceased by her parents, Morris and Ella Medlock, her two husbands, Tracey Glover and Roy Schmidt, and a son, Norman F. Glover.
