Edward Alan Jamison passed away peacefully from a long illness on December 17, 2019, at the age of 66. His final days were spent with his sister and adult children at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore, PA.
Born in Hornell, NY on July 27, 1953, and raised in Trumansburg, Edward was a son of the late Alan K. Jamison and Jeanne Greenman Jamison. Ed was a graduate of Charles O. Dickerson High School and achieved a B.S. degree in Accounting. He served in the Air Force being initially stationed in Minot, North Dakota. He dearly loved his family and in younger days was an avid downhill skier. He lived and worked in Scranton, PA for the past 20 years.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his brother Mark Jamison.
He is survived by his children, Aaron (Stephanie) Jamison, Rebekah Jamison, Valerie Jamison and Matthew (Magali) Jamison; his sister, Nancy (Norman Wells) Peckenpaugh; niece, Kacy Peckenpaugh; and a large extended family.
The family will hold a private burial at East Lawn Cemetery on Monday, July 27th, 2020.
Any donations will be welcomed to the Sacred Hearts of Dunmore or local hospice.
