Ethal M. Pemberton Bucci of Trumansburg passed away at Oak Hill Manor on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the age of 95.

Ethal was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan on January 14, 1921, a daughter of the late James and Leola MacGillivary Pemberton. After graduating high school, Ethal went to work at Morse Chain Company beginning a career that would span over 40 years.

Ethal’s most cherished times were those spent with family and close friends and neighbors. Her generous and caring spirit and her sense of humor was evident in everything she did. She was especially beloved by her grandchildren who will remember her loving kindness and her endearing expressions.

Ethal’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Oak Hill Manor for the loving care they provided during the last three years.

Ethal is survived by three children, James (Ann) Bucci of Fair Haven, VT, Marcia Parks of Ithaca, and Karen (Ted) Murray of Trumansburg; six grandchildren, Nick (Cathy) Bucci, Brian Parks, Sara Green, Patrick Bucci, Tyler (Abby) Murray, and Shauna Murray; sister in law, Eva Sweazey; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ethal was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Adam Bucci; brother, James Sweazey; and son in law Ronald Parks in 2013.

The family will be present to receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. Graveside Services will be private for the family.
