Evelyn M. Conway

Evelyn May Conway of Interlaken passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday, April 18, 2014 at the age of 70.

Born in New Brunswick, Canada on December 27, 1943, Evelyn was a daughter of the late Leonard and Greta (Fowler) Smith. She worked for several years as a home health aide for Visiting Nurses out of Ithaca. She enjoyed puzzles, playing bingo, and was an avid gardener always looking forward to growing a variety of flowers every spring. Evelyn loved her family and had a special love for each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Evelyn is survived by six children, Gloria (Blair) Dempster of New Brunswick, Canada, Kenneth Conway of Interlaken, Dianne (Chris Wheeler) Champion, Johnny (Michelle) Conway of Montour, Roxanne Panipinto of Interlaken, and Richard (Michelle) Conway of California; 14 grandchildren, Beverly, Justin, Eric, Amber, Anthony, Michalla, C.J., Alana, Andrew, Naomi, DonPaul, Elisia, Trinity, and Hayden; five great grandchildren, Adyn, Benjiman, Gene, Emerick, and Carsten; a brother, Kenneth (June) Smith; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Conway on April 24, 2003.

Services will be held privately for family.
