Thomas F. Bullivant, age 58, of 8385 Seneca St., Interlaken passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 21, 2005.
Born on November 27, 1946 in Ithaca, New York, Tom was the son of the late Robert Bullivant and Barbara Armstrong Bullivant who resides in Montour Falls. Following graduation from the Interlaken High School, Tom entered the U.S. Army. He faithfully served during the Vietnam Conflict and received an Honorable Discharge on February 14, 1968.
Tom was employed by National Cash Register for many years. When not at work, he enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales and collecting coins and avon bottles. Tom's home was his castle and he never missed an occasion to decorate it both inside and out. His friends and family were always eager to see what "new adornment" Tom would come up with as each holiday arrived.
In addition to his father, Robert Bullivant, Tom was also preceded in death by one grandson, Oran, III and one great-grandson, Tyler. He is survived by his wife, of 32 years, Alta Brown Bullivant of Interlaken; two daughters, Darlena (Alfred) Holford of Interlaken and Patricia (John) Beauregard of Klamath Falls, OR; one son, Oran C. Magee II of Trumansburg; five grandchildren, Alan, Thomas, Joshua, Anne and Crystal; seven great-grandchildren; his mother, Barbara Armstrong Bullivant of Montour Falls; three brothers, Ron (Doris) of Watkins Glen, Robert (Robin) of Interlaken and Douglas (Kim) of Interlaken; one sister, Bonnie (Harry) Miller of Interlaken and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive their friends at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg on Monday, July 25, 2005 from 6-8 pm.
Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 4443 East Seneca Rd., Trumansburg on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Pete Hood officiating. Prayers of Committal will follow at the Grove Cemetery in Trumansburg. Members of the Arthur E. Bouton American Legion Post #770 Ritual Team will provide a military honors tribute at the cemetery.
