Fay L. Bunnell

Fay L. Bunnell, age 72, longtime resident of the Ithaca area, passed away in the comfort of her Dryden home on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Born in Johnson City on October 19, 1951, a daughter of the late Hugh and Mary (nee Mullins) Bunnell. She was a master’s level Registered Nurse. She worked privately as an Elder Care Consultant, ran a business selling health products and was a fierce advocate for natural health.

She is survived by her daughter, Amity Schwartz (Sila Thielke) of Juneau, AK and step-daughter Deb McGinley (Andrew) of Littleton, CO; her grandchildren, Will and Maya McGinley, her beloved cat, Mr. Fahrenheit and a loving community of cherished friends.

Her loved ones are asked to gather at Greensprings Natural Cemetery in Newfield for a ceremony to commemorate her life at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2024.  A celebration of life will be held in her home later this summer.
