Fay Hamilton

Fay Hamilton of Trumansburg passed away at home surrounded by family on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the age of 84.

Fay was born in Sandport, Idaho on December 27, 1933, a son of the late Fay and Jenny (Rodgers) Hamilton. He earned a degree in music and was blessed with a strong singing voice. He was offered a scholarship to continue his education in the music field, but was called by the Lord to attend Seminary and become a Baptist Minister. He graduated from Baptist Bible Seminary in Johnson City and pastored many churches for 40 years. Aside from his love of music, Fay also enjoyed woodworking, and painting.

Fay is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maria Hamilton; four sons, David (Brenda), Joseph (Linda), Tim (Vicky), and Mark (Sharon); fourteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

The family will be present to receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00am on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11:00am on Saturday at the church. Prayers of Committal will follow at Grove Cemetery.
