Florence Elizabeth Hunt Fox formerly of Dryden and Trumansburg passed away at Beechtree Care Center on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the age of 102.
Florence was born in Mountain View, New Jersey on November 2, 1912, a daughter of the late Charles and Ada (Wilkins) Hunt. She worked for many years as a receptionist for Dr. Epstein’s dental office in Dryden prior to her retirement.
Always living life to the fullest, Florence was an avid storyteller sharing stories of her travels and adventures with both new and old friends. She was an active member of the Dryden United Methodist Church before moving to Trumansburg and being a member of the Trumansburg United Methodist Church.
Florence is survived by her children, Alan (Jeanne) Fox, Elizabeth (Joseph) Crossgrove, Barbara Cofer, and Stephen (Linda) Fox; 14 grandchildren; 7, step grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Hunt. In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Fox in 2005; two sons, James Fox and David Fox; a special granddaughter, Connie Crossgrove; sister, Helen Richards; son in law Don Cofer; and a sister in law Laura Hunt.
Services for Florence will be private for family and close friends.
