Frank Winkleblack

Francis J. “Frank” Winkleblack Jr., age 68, a longtime resident and graduate of Trumansburg, passed away at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre on Thursday, March 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Frank was born in Ithaca, NY on September 16, 1956, a son of the late Francis J. Sr. and Peggy. He worked as an experienced machinist for 25 years and spent 15 years working alongside his brother at Todd's family body shop and hobby shop. His love for the outdoors and animals also led to years of farming and various projects with family, friends, and neighbors.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 44 years, Peggy; their children, Kari (Kyle) Schmidt and James Winkleblack; his beloved grandchildren, Kayden, Kayleigh, Kady Rae, Keagan Schmidt, and Rogan Winkleblack; his siblings, Peggy, Rod (Shelly), and Todd (Denise); his sister and brothers in-law, Kathy, Ben, and Howard; his dear friend and neighbor, John Taber; and a large extended family.

Services will be held privately for family.
