Galen K. Forrest

Galen (Ken) Forrest passed away on Thursday, April 18,2013 after a prayer with the hospital chaplain. It is his family’s prayer that they will see him again in heaven.

Ken is survived by his wife of 54 yrs, Vivian as well as his two sons, Brian, his wife Holly and their daughter, Breanna. Evan and his wife Gloria. Uncle Kenny, as he was known, was a favorite of his many nieces and nephews. By the age of 16 he had 3 jobs. He spent a couple of years in the military and many in the newspaper printing industry. He retired after many years with the Ithaca Journal. He was known for being an industrious worker who enjoyed kidding around. Ken raced homing pigeons and was frequently enjoying the beauty of God's creation with his fishing adventures and while in the woods making trails and cutting firewood. Ken was very dedicated to his family and his presence will be sorely missed.

In keeping with his wishes, services will be private.
