Georgianna Mahoney

Georgianna L. Mahoney, age 88, of Long View and formerly of Syracuse, passed away at the Hospice Residence on Friday, January 11, 2019.

Georgianna was born in Baldwinsville on October 11, 1930, one of eight children born to the late Ferdinand and Lucy Chartier. She had worked in the Rubin Insurance Agency and as a secretary at the Salvation Army before moving to Trumansburg in 2004.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Mahoney of Ithaca, Michael (Therese) Mahoney of Skaneateles, Peter (Lourie Johnson) Mahoney of Camillus her daughter, Patricia (Lloyd) Talbot of Ithaca; her sons, Gregory (Marsha) Mahoney of Syracuse, Stephen (Tracy Abraham) Macaulay of E. Syracuse; 23 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a sister, Bette Baker of Liverpool. And several nieces and nephews. Georgianna was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Georgianna loved to knit, she was an avid reader, she loved to sing, and she enjoyed musicals. She traveled many places and enjoyed sharing her experiences with others. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was known for always bringing a smile and sharing her kind and compassionate spirit.
