H. Kastenhuber, Grace

Grace H. Kastenhuber, 94, of 5477 Grove Rd., Trumansburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2006.

Born on February 8, 1912 in Odgensburg, Pennsylvania, Grace was the daughter of Charles Jackson and Mary Wilson Jackson.

She could often be found tending the vegetable garden or caring for the many farm animals, especially her cherished pigs. Over the last several years card playing and dominos became a favorite pastime where she could enjoy a good laugh and conversation with friends.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband, William Kastenhuber. She is survived by two sons, Francis Bell of Brookpark, Ohio and Thelbert Bell of Mars Hill, Maine; two sisters, Margaret Mores of Pennsylvania and Edna Carl of Ithaca; two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Michael Bell and four great-grandchildren, Sandra, Elizabeth, Lauren and Matthew Bell.

The family will be present to receive friends on Sunday, December 17, 2006 from 2-4 pm and from 6-8 pm at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg.

Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 18, 2006 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Pete Hood officiating. Prayers of Committal will follow at Grove Cemetery in Trumansburg.
