Hardy W. Schlossberg

Hardy W. “Artie” Schlossberg of Ithaca passed away at Cayuga Medical Center surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the age of 90.

Artie was born in Brooklyn on May 9, 1927, a son of the late Meyer and Rachel (Applebaum) Schlossberg. He honorably served his country during World War II before working in the textile industry in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Artie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose Marie Schlossberg; one son, Michael (Jennifer) Schlossberg; one granddaughter, Mena Schlossberg; and two sisters, Harriett Karess and Marilyn LaSalandra. In addition to his parents, Artie was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Schlossberg.

The family will be present to receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45pm on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. A Service will immediately begin at 2:45 with burial to follow at Grove Cemetery in Trumansburg.
