Heather M. Huntley

Heather Huntley, age 35, lifetime resident of the Trumansburg and Ithaca areas, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 31, 2013.

Heather was born in Ithaca on November 27, 1978, the eldest daughter of David K. and Penny S. (Jones) Huntley. She was a 1996 graduate of Trumansburg High School and had worked in the Ithaca area. Heather was the proud mother of three children and they were the highlight of her life. She kept her friends and family close to her heart. Known as an optimist, she could always find the best attribute in anyone she met. Her contagious smile was known to brighten up anyone’s day.

She is survived by her loving children, Wyatt, Garrett and Charlotte White of Tully; her mother Penny (Karl) Mount of Romulus; her sisters, Kimberly Huntley of Victory Mills, Kristen (Steve Vyn) Huntley of Canal Fulton, OH, and Marcie (Luis) Cabrera of Arlington, VA; the father of her children, Rodger White of Tully, and a large extended family. Heather was preceded in death by her father, David, in 1996, and by her grandparents. She will be loved and missed by all.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00pm on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street in Trumansburg. A time of sharing and Memorial Service will then be held at 3:00pm.
