Howard R. Miller

Howard R. Miller, age 89, formerly of Trumansburg, passed away July 26, 2007 at Seneca View Nursing Facility in Montour Falls.

Born November 18, 1917 in Trumansburg, Howard was a son of the late Elmer and Bessie (Updike) Miller. A lifetime resident of the Trumansburg area, he graduated from Trumansburg High School. Howard spent many years farming as well as working as a serviceman for Ehrhart Propane Co.

He enjoyed hunting, restoring vintage cars and was a member of Southern Tier Vintage Ford Club.

Howard is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Donald) Rider of Florida; two sons, Alan (Libby) and Harry (Bonnie) Miller both of Trumansburg; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Miller.
