James Moe

James R. Moe, 78, of 4427 Jacksonville Rd., Trumansburg, passed away Monday, November 13, 2006 at Cayuga Medical Center.

James was born April 5, 1928 in Cortland to Martin and Fay Young Moe. He married Dorothy Saccucci on June 30, 1951. Retiring from Cornell University, James worked as a tool and die maker in the Newman Lab from 1961 to 1991. He loved horse racing, hunting, fishing and gardening.

James is survived by two daughters, Linda (Ronald) Perry of Laporte, TX and Maureen (Leon) Anderson of Jacksonville; two sons, Daniel Moe of Ithaca and Patrick (Jacqueline) Moe of Newark Valley; one sister, Joy Smith of Berkshire; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his dog, Buddy, a loyal companion. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy, who passed away on June 16, 1998.

The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday, November 18, 2006 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg.
