Jane E. Jenner, of 1 Whig Street, Trumansburg, passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the age of 63.

Born in Auburn on March 8, 1949, Jane was the daughter of the late Alan and Jane (Doty) Holmes. She worked as a bus driver for Trumansburg School District for 21 years prior to her retirement.

Jane would spend countless hours growing beautiful flowers of all kinds and watching the birds come and go in her garden. She was a lifelong animal lover that never saw an animal she didn’t want to adopt. Throughout the years Jane owned and cared for many cats, dogs, and lizards. Jane was an incredible artist, painting effortlessly and producing beautiful pieces of artwork. The ocean always brought joy to Jane. No matter what beach she was vacationing on, she soaked up all the sights, sounds, and smells that accompanied being near the ocean.

Jane was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her door was always open for her family to stop by, an occurrence that took place frequently. Her warm and compassionate heart will be missed by all who knew her.

Jane is survived by her husband of 45 years, William “Bill” Jenner of Trumansburg; three children, Renee (Jeff) Matteson of Canisteo, Donnie (Stephanie) Jenner of Montour Falls, and Daryl Jenner of Greenville, NC; six grandchildren, Travis, Schuyler, Ashley, Sabrina, Justin, and Emma; three siblings, Allen Holmes of GA, Kevin Holmes of Clyde, and Suzanne Morris of Weedsport; mother in law, Liz Jenner of Trumansburg; two sisters in law, Peggy LaForty and Mary Harvey; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by two sisters, Debbie Holmes and Kathy Randall.

The family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg.
